As we wrap up another incredible year at Helios Staking, we look back at 2024 with immense pride and gratitude.
This year marked a period of growth, innovation, and collaboration across the MultiversX and Injective ecosystems and we are proud to support the team and community by providing secure and reliable staking services to EGLD and INJ holders.
Here’s a recap of our biggest milestones and accomplishments including expanding the team, launching Helios Horizons and of course, the first ever Helios Collabathon!
Expanding the Helios Team
In 2024, we were thrilled to welcome Lukas Seel to the Helios family as our Business and Strategic Development lead. Lukas brought invaluable expertise in community building and creating meaningful connections within MultiversX and beyond, as a major contributor to initiatives such as xAlliance (the MultiversX community accelerator) and Superteam DE.
His vision has already had a profound impact on our trajectory as a staking provider and innovator in the Web3 space. This was evident as Lukas played an integral role in bringing the first Helios Collabathon to life.
Introducing Helios Horizons
This year, we launched Helios Horizons, a podcast dedicated to hosting impactful conversations with leaders in the Web3 space. Over 30 episodes, we had the privilege of hosting builders, innovators and founders from projects like Injective, Pyth, MultiversX, Burnt XION, Omni Network, and Noble, among others.
These conversations provided deep insights into the evolving landscape of Web3 and reinforced our commitment to providing our community with access to education and insight to help them understand and thrive in this emerging space.
Launching the Helios Staking dApp
2024 saw the launch of the Helios Staking dApp, a major milestone for us. The platform empowers stakers with greater control over their EGLD holdings on MultiversX while integrating other projects in the Helios ecosystem, including Vapor Republic and Mitya NFT. This comprehensive tool has enhanced the staking experience for our community, offering convenience and expanded functionality.
Helios Staking delegators can monitor the status of their staked EGLD and accumulated rewards, while Vapor Republic delegators can do the same, along with visualising key stats associated with the Vapor Republic SFT and NFT collections.
Vapor Republic: Community-Led Staking Revolution Grows!
Vapor Republic, a flagship initiative in MultiversX, grew from strength to strength in 2024. Through innovative SFT-based crowdfunding, we enabled community members to create validator nodes, providing them with validator-level rewards without the traditional infrastructure or capital barriers.
Holders of Vapor Republic SFTs enjoyed staking APRs often double those of standard EGLD delegation, which is testament to the success of this community-first approach.
Going into 2025, we have also slashed staking fees for delegators to 2.5% – meaning Vapor Republic delegators enjoy among the highest EGLD staking APRs on MultiversX!
Helios Collabathon: Redefining Collaboration
This year, we hosted the Collabathon, a pioneering event that reimagined the traditional hackathon model. Emphasizing collaboration over competition, our team delivered an MVP for Helios Connect, a cross-chain wallet verification dApp. This innovative tool allows users to establish a single verified identity across chains, starting with MultiversX and Injective.
The Collabathon team gathered in Barcelona, showcasing the transformative potential of cooperative building in Web3.
Helios Connect in Dubai
Following the success of Helios Connect, we participated in the Bybit x DMCC Hackathon in Dubai. Although we didn’t win a prize, the positive feedback from judges and attendees affirmed the potential of Helios Connect. Congratulations to our team—Kevin, JB, Patrick —for representing Helios Staking among other talented builders and projects.
Recognising Burnt XION’s Achievements
We were thrilled to witness our partners at Burnt XION launch their XION token and mainnet this year.
By placing abstraction at the protocol layer, Burnt XION is tackling one of Web3’s biggest challenges—user experience. Their innovative approach eliminates complexities like seed phrases and gas fees, all while maintaining security and performance. Their success highlights the progress of user-centric innovation in blockchain.
Celebrating our Partners: MultiversX and Injective
We are continually inspired by the remarkable progress made by the MultiversX and Injective foundations. As staking providers, we take pride in offering secure and reliable services for EGLD and INJ holders, supporting these ecosystems as they achieve new milestones.
Injective continued to build and position themselves as the leaders in bringing the future of finance on-chain.
This year’s Injective 3.0 tokenomics upgrade positions INJ as one of the most scarce and deflationary digital assets going into 2025, and they hosted the first ever Injective Summit in Bangkok, which aside from the agenda being packed with some of the brightest minds in Web3, it gave the entire community the opportunity to come together and connect in person for the first time.
MultiversX pushed forward significant protocol level upgrades to create one of the smoothest developer and user environments in Web3.
2024 saw the launch of two significant upgrades:
- Multikey: Which lowered the operating costs for validators significantly
- Staking v4: Democratising the staking process through an innovative auction mechanism – incentivising validators to keep their nodes running more optimally
Their commitment to innovation and growth is exemplified by progress in the Sovereign Chains architecture which will allow anyone to come and launch their own custom chain with the cost, scalability and speed of MultiversX as the base layer.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As 2024 comes to a close, we reflect on a year filled with accomplishments, lessons, and growth for Helios.
With new projects on the horizon, an ever-expanding community, and our continued commitment to innovation, we are more excited than ever for what 2025 holds.
